SHERWOOD WEEKLY UPDATES - JULY 12, 2021

 Good Evening Sherwood Knights:

I hope you are safe and you are enjoying your summer with your family and friends.  Please continue to stay safe and reach out to us if you need anything at the numbers below or visit our website at sherwood.cps.edu.

Today I received an official letter outlining some of our work and asking our employees and visitors to not enter the building until the work is completed. I have attached the letter for your review.  Thank you to our teachers who are working virtually with some of our students and families who reached out for opportunities.  Feel free to also call me or Ms. Beal if you have any questions or concerns about summer programs, technology needs or if you  need food delivered.

We are a GRAB and GO site and we are offering delicious bagged lunches to anyone who comes to our school and requests lunches. All you need to do is go to the door on 57th Street nearest to Wells street, knock on the door and tell our wonderful summer lunch team how many children you would like to pick up lunch for. Please do this every three days and pick up your delicious meals.

We are planning events this summer in our new playground.  Unfortunately for now the park will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED due to areas of our playground developing holes that needed to be repaired immediately.  Our engineer locked the park until the work was complete. We want to keep our children and community safe as the holes will be repaired beginning tomorrow and the entire area is being assessed.  Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Every Monday I am going to email you reminders and information for you and your family. Please feel free to also visit our website: Sherwood.cps.edu

SHERWOOD UPDATES - JULY 6, 2021

 Good Evening Sherwood Family:

I hope you are enjoying your summer break and relaxing with family and friends.  The building feels so lonely and deserted without our children in the building.  We miss all of you very much and we cannot wait until August!

Sherwood was planning to have an in person summer program this year, but unfortunately Sherwood is not allowed to have in person summer programs due to major construction going on in the building. If your child has NOT been advised to attend Nicholson or Randolph and you believe they would benefit to attend a summer program, please contact Sherwood Park and additional information will be available on our website as it becomes available.  Feel free to also call me or Ms. Beal if you have any questions or concerns about other programs.

Every Monday I am going to email you reminders and information for you and your family. Please feel free to also visit our website: Sherwood.cps.edu
