As we prepare to reopen our school building for K-8 students on Monday, February 1, 2021, we have made some adjustments to student and staff classroom assignments. We made these changes to ensure our in-person classes are a safe size, we are able to follow health protocols, and our teachers will provide the best possible learning experience for students at home and at school.
Beginning Monday, February 1, 2021, the students who opted in to in-persona learning must read what is outlined below:
Days of In-Person Learning will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Students will remain home on Wednesday and engage in remote learning only and NOT IN PERSON. Pre-School students continue to be instruction 5 days per week.
Days of Remote Learning (learn from home online) will continue to be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily for all students who opted to learn from home. Hyrid Learning Students will remain home on WEDNESDAY and engage on online learning at their home. Sherwood will not be open for K-8 grade students on Wednesday.
By January 29, 2021, your child’s homeroom teacher will reach out to you with additional information, such as your child’s daily schedule, entry procedure and other requirements and reminders. I have also attached information for your to review as well.
To prepare for hybrid learning, please take time to become familiar with our daily health protocols. I also encourage you to review the Reopening Guide for Parents for more information.
As we transition to hybrid learning, changes to classrooms and daily routines can be hard for our students, especially at this point in the school year.
